Shedules of night buses N2 and N3 to change as of December 6
The changes concern night bus route N2 "Centre – Sarkandaugava – Vecmīlgrāvis" and N3 "Centre – Bolderāja" and are necessary because in winter these routes require extra time due to bad weather conditions. At the same time, I should be noted that departure times from the city centre will not change; night buses will leave the terminal in the city centre like before – in ‘round’ hours. The buses will depart from terminals in city districts (Vecmīlgrāvis and Bolderāja) to the city centre at 00:45; 01:45; 02:45; 03:45; 04:45.
It should be reminded that the company operates nine night bus routes in the nights from Fridays to Saturdays and from Saturdays to Sundays. The terminal of the night buses in the city transport is public transport stop ‘Railway Terminal Square/Central Railway Terminal’.
The night routes are served by yellow midibuses.
All buses leave the city centre simultaneously, in „round” hours. Departure times from the terminal are selected so that passengers could better understand and remember night bus schedules. Buses of all routes leave the terminal at "Railway Terminal Square/Central Railway Terminal" simultaneously – at 24:00; 01:00; 02:00; 03:00; 04:00; 05:00, but from terminals in districts – at 00:30; 01:30; 02:30; 03:30; 04:30, and in some routes at 05.30.
As mentioned above, during winter season departure times of midibuses N2 "Centre – Sarkandaugava – Vecmīlgrāvis" and N3 "Centre – Bolderāja" from Vecmīlgrāvis and Bolderāja will be changed due to complicated traffic conditions.
Departure times from stops between terminals are approximate and depend on passenger flow. Schedules are available at www.rigassatiksme.lv and at terminals of respective routes.
The fare for all passengers is LVL 1.00; tickets are only available from the driver. Night transport is a commercial service and therefore is not subject to standard transportation tariffs and discounts, except for disabled persons who are entitled to using public transport free of charge according to the Disability law.
Buses stop only on passengers’ demand at public transport stops. Passengers get on/ off the buses only through front doors (exceptions – passengers in wheelchairs, mothers with baby carriages etc.).
